At a Glance – Terms & Conditions
This summary is designed to help you understand how our tuition services work. It does not replace our full Terms and Conditions, which remain legally binding.
How Our Tuition Works
- Tuition is provided per student and per subject.
- Lessons are delivered during term-time, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
- Lessons are only charged once delivered and marked as complete.
- Nord Tuition is responsible for quality, safeguarding, scheduling, and complaints.
Booking & Acceptance
- A contract is formed when you complete registration and/or sign a Tuition Agreement.
- Our full Terms and Conditions apply from that point onwards.
- Updated Terms and Conditions apply from 13th January 2026 to tuition services provided on or after that date. Contracts already completed, or already within a valid notice period as at that date, remain governed by the previous terms.
Contract Length
- Tuition contracts are entered into per student and per subject.
- The intended duration of the contract is linked to the student’s educational stage or qualification (for example Primary, GCSE, or A-Level), as determined by Nord Tuition using the information provided at registration.
- In most cases, contracts are intended to run until the student has completed the relevant stage of education or qualification, unless ended earlier in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
- You are not required to continue tuition until completion and may end the contract early by giving the required notice.
Your 14-Day Cancellation Period
- From the date of the first scheduled lesson, you have 14 days to cancel tuition.
- During this period, you may cancel at any time.
- You will only be charged for lessons that have already taken place.
- Cancellation must be submitted in writing by email to cancellations@nordtuition.com.
Rescheduling Lessons
- You may request to reschedule a lesson at least 48 hours before the lesson start time.
- Requests made within 48 hours may be refused, and the lesson may be charged.
- A lesson may only be rescheduled once.
- Any rescheduled lesson must take place within 14 days of the original date.
- Lessons cannot be rescheduled during a cancellation notice period.
Cancelling Individual Lessons
- Cancelling individual lessons is separate from ending tuition entirely.
- After the initial 14-day period, four (4) weeks’ written notice is required to request cancellation of an individual lesson.
- Up to 12 individual lesson cancellation requests per academic year are permitted.
- Each cancellation request may apply to one hour of tuition only.
- Cancellation requests apply to term-time lessons only.
- Cancellation requests take effect only once accepted by Nord Tuition.
Ending Tuition (Ending the Contract)
- You are not required to continue tuition until exam completion.
- After the initial 14-day period, a minimum of four (4) weeks’ written notice is required to end tuition.
- Notice must be submitted by email to cancellations@nordtuition.com.
- If four weeks’ notice is given, you will only be charged for lessons delivered during the notice period.
- If tuition is ended without the required notice, a charge equivalent to four weeks’ tuition applies.
- Any such charge is not a penalty and reflects genuine costs incurred.
When We May Reschedule or Cancel
- We may reschedule or cancel lessons where reasonably necessary (for example due to tutor illness or unavailability, safeguarding concerns, venue closure, technical failure, or events outside our control).
- Where practicable, we will give advance notice.
- Cancelled lessons are not charged.
- This does not constitute a breach of contract.
Payments & Interest
- Payment is due only for lessons delivered.
- Late payment may result in suspension of tuition.
- Where payment remains overdue, interest may be charged on outstanding amounts in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
- Persistent non-payment may lead to termination of the contract.
Legal & Consumer Rights
- Our Terms comply with UK consumer law.
- Nothing limits your statutory rights.
- English law applies.
- Disputes may be referred to CEDR if unresolved.

These Terms and Conditions are archived and no longer apply to current tuition services.
They continue to apply only where a contract for tuition services ended, was terminated, expired, or was otherwise fully concluded before Tuesday 13th January 2026, or where a contract was already within a valid notice period as at that date. In such cases, the Terms and Conditions in force at the time the contract ended or notice was given continue to govern that contractual relationship.
For the avoidance of doubt, these archived Terms and Conditions do not apply retrospectively to any tuition services provided, contracts performed, or contractual relationships that were governed by updated Terms and Conditions in force from Tuesday 13th January 2026 onwards.
